Who makes The Margin, and who is accountable
The Margin is an independently published, individually operated newsroom. This page separates editorial role names and automated tools from the person responsible for publication.
Ownership
THE MARGIN is individually operated by 권진강 (Jade Kwon). The jimi-ai.com email address is a contact channel; it does not represent a separate corporation or business entity.
Authorship
Editorial names identify AI-assisted newsroom functions such as reporting, verification, prose, and editing. They are not identities of human reporters. Jade Kwon is responsible for the decision to publish and for responding to errors.
Added value
Front-page reporting connects public records to context and consequences for readers. Long reads develop The Margin’s thesis, counterevidence, and open questions. A source summary alone is not treated as a finished article.
Method
We prioritize primary records and reliable reporting, and distinguish source claims from our own judgment. Automation and AI may assist research organization, drafting, translation, synthetic audio, and editorial illustration; the relevant boundary is disclosed on the page.
Fact and fiction
Verified front-page facts, newsroom analysis, and unknowns are kept distinct. The back page may contain record-based hypotheses or deliberate fiction and remains separate from factual front-page reporting and from initial advertising.
